Get £7,500 off your heat pump
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) provides grants of up to £7,500 for air source heat pumps. We're approved installers — and we handle all the paperwork.
Scheme runs until March 2028 — or until the budget runs out
What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK government initiative to help homeowners switch from fossil fuel heating to clean heat pumps. It's administered by Ofgem and available to property owners in England and Wales.
The grant covers £7,500 of the cost of an air source heat pump installation. You don't receive the money directly — instead, it's deducted from your quote upfront. You only pay the balance.
Example: If your installation costs £12,000, you pay £4,500. The remaining £7,500 is paid directly to us by the scheme.
Who qualifies?
Most Berkshire homeowners are eligible.
You can apply if:
- Own your property (or have landlord permission)
- Property is in England or Wales
- Replacing gas, oil, LPG, or electric heating
- Have a valid EPC (any rating)
- Use an MCS-certified installer (that's us)
You may not qualify if:
- Already have a heat pump installed
- Property is a new build
- Renting without landlord consent
- In Scotland or Northern Ireland (different schemes)
